"Went here on friday night. Got a really good feed of fish and chips. We had flathead not flathead tails, flathead. It was huge. Crispy and fresh. Potato cakes (or scallops as they call them in this neck of the woods) were good. Made a hog of myself and ordered a cheeseburger as well. It was tasty. No complaints here. We will be back. BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN CANBERRA to date."

"I regularly pick up a lunchbox takeaway. The food is always delicious, cooked fresh and you get a good serving of the main meal and not just 3/4 of a container of rice. I have also eaten in on occasion and whilst the decor could do with an upgrade the staff are always attentive and the food great. Would highly recommend."

"Luncheon at Jimmys Place on Mother's Day and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was extremely busy and we had not booked. Our drinks and entees were served promptly. Mains the same. The freshest Chinese food I have ever had. Wait staff incredibly switched on without being pushy. I will return when we have more time to savour the dining experience. Thank you"

"Small place with reasonable price. The pizza (the first one in the menu) was good and the family size chips was quite generous to be consumed by 6 people. The hot chocolate was okay and it is a must to try their belgian chocochip cookies. Overall, good place to fill emergency empty tummy."

"My partner and I had dinner here last Friday. The restaurant is around the university lodges and mainly serves students, so the prices are very reasonable. The food preparation area is open to the restaurant so the restaurant did smell of the food being prepared. Not off putting but not welcomed either. The service was good and we quickly had our orders in front of us. Both of our meals were of a satisfactory standard and both cost around $16. My partners vegetable shabu shabu was excellent and the produce was very fresh. I had the a pork curry which was also OK but not as filling. I would recommend this restaurant but stick to the shabu shabu dishes!"
