"This was such a pleasant experience - the food was fresh and excellent, and the service was top notch. We were even greeted with a complementary sushi pizza taster which was pretty amazing. With just a short walk from my work, I will be here often!"

"As someone in the area, I've been going to Sushi Matsuri for years. Not only do I think the food has improved, but it is excellent. I will say the main dishes and rice meals are okay, but the sushi is exquisite. You can't go wrong ordering any ofthe sushi, but the nigiri in my opinion is the best on the menu. It is run by a lovely family and they are always kind andwelcoming. I highly recommend you stop by, it will be more than worth your time."

"Nicely appointed restaurant with plenty of space, I had excellent Edmame (not that easy to do well), succulent yakitori and an excellent pacific roll. Staff were attentive but discreet, and the bill very reasonable."

"The food itself was just OK - way too salty, small portions, miso soup was basically plain broth and the California rolls only had a small bit of over shredded crab meat. Service was terrible, sat waiting for menus for close to 10 minutes, finally went and picked them up from the cash register - the girl there just looked at me, didn't say anything at all... Decided what we wanted within 2 minutes, again sat waiting for 10 minutes, nobody even took notice of us until I stood up. It was like our table of 3 were invisible. They were not that busy and another table that came in after us were served and eating before we were. Not once did either of the waitresses stop by our table to see if we had everything or if we wanted drinks or whatever... Lots of good Asian places to go in Victoria, I'd skip this one."

"All the fish is incredibly fresh, they do an especially good yam roll and everything seems very balanced. Salmon and tuna were excellent, unagi was strangely the best I think I've ever had. Great little gem, they seem to take care to make everything flavorful and tasty. Second trip here, will definitely be coming back!"
