"This was an overnight stop as we travelled from Tuscany back up through France to the UK. The local hotel recommended it. We opted for the tasting menu and were brought plate after plate of superb, tasty seafood, in fact there was rather too much! Wine is available by the bottle or caraffe. One problem to warn potential diners about... mosquitos! This restaurant is very near a beautiful large lake and the mossies were a real problem, we were very badly bitten as hadn't thought to apply repellant."

"Perhaps this is unnecessary to say, but all of the pasta is made on the premises. In fact the first floor of the restaurant is devoted to a small store that sells homemade pasta. On a Saturday lunch, they were busy. The restaurant is in an old house so there are several rooms on several floors with tables for dining. The pasta was (to my mind) nothing that special, but it was fresh, good and inexpensive. I had the agnolloti (which were medium sized ravioli sauced with a light tomato basil sauce. Salad wasn't available so we ordered a large vegetable plate to share. Some vegetables over cooked, but some were quite tasty. You aren't going to get a bad meal here, but it won't be the best meal you eat in the Piedmont either. Service was good."

"We went at the lake sunday, it was lunch time and we decided to eat at l'incontro. They offered salami and cheese. We had a wonderful starter: cheese mousse with lardo and mocetta slices served with honey. We had risotto with peperoni cream and mozzarella di bufala and a plate of fresh pasta served with castelmagno, nuts and pistacchios. For desert: semifreddo, good, and a novecento cake really good. My child ate a plate of gnocchi with herbs that were good and a delicious sorbetto. With a bottle of wine we paid 70 euros"

"During my stay in Ivrea for a business trip, I was adviced by the local collegues to visit La Bella Dormiente to eat the best Pizza in Town. It turned out to be the best meal ever in Italie for a very good (low) price. I choosed the Insalata Di Mare as starter and was surprised by the Chef with fresh fish including Mussels, on a bed of salad. Served with Garlic bread and very nice served. The Pizza was a Quattro Stagioni, served with fresh pepper slices. Large size with plenty of topping. A very good is not the best pizza ever. I ordered a bottle of Chianti and the price turned out to be very modest. The bottle was presented in a gastronomic way. I was impressed! The total price for the meal exluding the bottle of Chianti but including 1/2 liter still water and an expresso cafe was .... Eur 20, I will return next week."
