"Ordered a collection. Food was cold and disgusting. Doesn't taste at all like its meant to. Was slightly concerned there might be an issue when she locked the door behind me on my way out BEFORE closing time Order duck in plum sauce. There was a few TINY pieces of duck and the chop suet was watery a d tasteless. This place is random anyway what chef cooks in his coat as the place is so cold and the lady serving is wrapped up likes its snowing also noticed their washing in the back hanging out to dry. Dont know how this place stays open not been here in a couple of years but gave it a go tonight. Wont be returning it honestly was the worst food"

"Visited the Sussex Ox today on a sunny wintery afternoon. Food was outstanding. I opted for the cranberry, apple and camembert sandwich. £11.50 for a 'bar snack ' which if say was certainly a main meal sized portion. Was delicious. Fries nice and crunchy and a very fresh tasting side salad. Staff were lovely. Will be back soon (albeit covered in less mud next time!"

"Place came highly recommended so disappointed after very poor Xmas Eve lunch for family. The positives were that the kids were happy with burgers and fish and chips (even if chip’s were not home made). The lunches were poor. Dried up turkey roll (supermarket would’ve been better). Tiny portions of overcooked carrots and cremated sprouts. A very nice jus….enjoyed all 3 teaspoons of it! Speciality banoffee pie was a joke. A banana on top of some crumbled biscuits and banoffee ice cream. Being seated crammed next to the toilets was unpleasant. Service was excellent though but not enough to make up for a poor meal at high prices."
