beautiful pub in landdorf location. friendly staff and dog friendly. not far from friston forest for walks after the meal. at least two vegan options in appetizers, main and desserts. I had a nice fresh risotto and my companion had gnocchi. eating area busy with large family groups when we were eating there half-time. View all feedback.
What Barry Lynch doesn't like about The Plough And Harrow:
Lovely place, excellent staff, but the Sunday roast just wasn't very good. Veg very undercooked for my taste. Cabbage mixed with onion not for me. Peas might well have been local but were bland. Yorkies obviously cooked earlier in the day and therefore were like cardboard. Had a very nice afternoon, nice and pleasant, was a Monday afternoon though so couldn't comment what it would be like in a busy period (evening/weekends).
Lovely pub with friendly service and a great selection of local beers and ales from Long Man Brewery. They have a game cabinet that’s great for kids, and loads of outdoor seating. Couldn’t ask for more!
The food was very disappointing. Two from our party had the chicken pie which was soggy and tasteless. I had the vegan bowl which was very uninspiring...basically a bowl of chickpeas and butternut pieces with the odd piece of kale and broccoli and a side bowl of boiled potatoes ! Very overpriced and won't be returning.

I have almost no memory of eating out when I haven 't walked away saying That was OK, but I have had better . But today I loved every bite! I will highly recommend this place in the future!! Staff was so kind; not overbearingly pushy or sweet... just a really positive experience! Thank you for a wonderful meal out!
