"Arrivés par hasard dans ce petit village qui compte deux restaurants,nous avons été agréablement surpris,une fois passés la porte.Accueil chaleureux,petite salle à manger sympa.Nous y avons mangé une excellente pièce de bœuf,tendre et goûteuse,et qui a été découpée au fusil,preuve d'une viande pas surgelée et fraîche,ainsi qu'un très bon coq au vin,le tout accompagné d'un petit vin de pays pour un prix très démocratique.Excellent rapport qualité-prix."

"Forget all good previous reviews. There is a new owner now and he is not to be recommended.The restaurant Table 'O was strongly recommended by our hotel. We drove 30 minutes and arrived 5 minutes after it open on a quiet Friday at noon outside the busy season. When we arrived, the owner/chef in a very rude way told us we could not get a table without reservation. They had just opened. All tables inside and outside were empty. We kindly asked if we could sit outside and that we would eat really quick. No way we were told. No reservation no table. After 4 weeks in France this was the first time we encountered a rude and impolite restaurant. We recommend not to eat there."

"Was often closed in June but should be open all summer this is our favourite restaurant and we've been returning most of the last 20 years! No English is spoken but that's ok! Lovely cats and small dog are very companionable! Very steep steps to gain entrance so not for the elderly or disabled. House wine isn't bad and deserts are delicious especially the peach melba!"
In nice weather you can even have something in the outdoor area.

"Aigne would be known to have a center in the shape of a slaughterhouse and that would be the domain of many artists. was nice, but a few minutes you've seen it. Unless you're probably going for art. We're not. We saw an inviting terrace and we picked a 3-course menu of 26 euros pp the consistent crevettes/garnalls you'd better skip is more of a sour sauce salad with a few garnals. The main course of beef is what's on the tough side and certainly not medium delivered as requested. The staff was far too young and inexperienced and spoke too fast French and not a word across the border. Already with not a place we're going back to. On the scene, a French buldog went through under the tables and dumped without the beast being one-stroke in the way."

"We are regulars at La Selette and really like the place. It can be quirky, in that lots of different types of meat are often only available by the kilo. But overall the quality and service are usually outstanding. Nice people. Very good meat, properly cooked in front of you in the new outdoor kitchen. Set menus are good value, but the premium cuts are usually well worth the money too. Today (for my birthday) we sat outside on the terrace on a beautifully sunny day. We enjoyed a drink, had gazpacho and olives as an amuse-gueule and vichyssoise with smoked trout tartare as a starter. Excellent, excellent. Our main course, however, let us down. Carbonade de boeuf à la Flamande (Flemish stew) should be cuts of beef slowly braised over the course of many hours to the point where all fat has dissolved. Mine was largely okay, but my partner’s beef was just a mess of fatty beef. What went wrong? Had the usually excellent chefs had a bad day? Did they top up an existing stew or left it too late to cook a new one properly? The fries and coleslaw were excellent and the house red decent enough. But even so. For dessert we had an apple tart with ice cream. It would have been easier to eat with a fork than with the spoons provided, but that’s a minor point. A luckily rare slip-up that somewhat ruined a special meal for us. We did tell our waitress (she asked), but it was more or less shrugged off."
