"The vegan coconut strawberry cake I had was very delicious. Unfortunately there was only a vegan cake. There are also some other vegan cookie options. The staff was very friendly and nice to speak. "This inexpensive shop in Kamakura, not far from the station, has such a great selection of foods made from tofu! Although it's located on Komachi Street, which is the busiest tourist shopping street in Kamakura, the majority of products it sells seem like items you'd find in a local neighborhood shop in Japan things you'd pick up to prepare dinner. For example they have a tofu with a tough consistency that can be breaded and fried to look like and taste like chicken. There's also plenty of snacks like donuts and sweets made from tofu. This was a surprising find, and although everything is probably not vegan, most of it is. If you're in Kamakura, this is definitely worth a visit."

"I have been participating in (vegan) wagashi and vegan shojin Ryori dresses for several years. the school was hosted at several locations in kamakura, but I love that the classes are always small, there are plenty of hand-on time and the pictures (including mari fujii, renowned expert for shojin ryori) are all excellent! Themes of the classes include rammen and gyoza, oyaki, holiday menus and fixed menus. the students are a beautiful mix of Japanese and international, and (older) children are also welcome. it is so great to learn here in kamakura shojin ryori where many important Zen temples are to be found, and I am always looking forward to my classes! the instructors will also recommend buying products in the Japanese super market or equivalents in their home country. when they will be in kamakura, they try to take a class in the atelier cafe kamakura!"

"I visited the place last year before he was closed and reopened. great to have this place back! eating is delicious. there were two options when I visited. vegetarian and macrobiotic plate or kiss. I tried. weizen gluten Katsu(fried) with sose. unfried earlyling roll salat pasta with tomato sauce horse weed salat brown rice I was satisfied with the amount of food. and all on the dish was delicious and carefully made! the ingredients are published in shop walls and the owner himself has knowledge of macrobiotic nutrition. updated from previous review to 2017-06-17"
