"An einem trüben Januarsamstag ist hier nicht viel los, aber trotzdem verwöhnt Nik Gygax mit einem preislich gehobenen, aber dafür exzellenten Mittagsmenue: Als Gruß aus der Küche eine Art Tomatensülze und ein Muschelsalätli, das die Geschmackspapillen öffnet, wunderbar leicht, elegant und geschmacksintensiv. Dann eine Variation von der Gänseleber mit zwei verschiedenen Lollies, ein butterzartes gebratenes Stück auf Melonensorbet, eine Kugel Gänselebereis im Löffel, eine Crème Brulée von der Leber - allein das ist schon herausragend und großzügig portioniert. Dann einen zarten Loup de Mer, danach Iberico-Bäckchen mit Bohnenkernen und luftigem Kartoffelpüree. Ein gebackener Mont d´Or mit Birnen- und Kartoffelspalten zwei Nachtische, alles zusammen im Prinzip 7 Gänge für CHF 140, das ist ein ganz schönes Sümmchen, aber wo bekommt man schon mal so etwas Leckeres?? Es gibt auch ziemlich viele Weine glasweise, allerdings immer in den Schweiz-üblichen Kleinportionen von 0,1 l. Lieber Nik, Deine Küche ist toll, und wir werden uns Deine Kochkunst beim nächsten mal als außergewöhnliche Belohnung wieder gönnen!!"

"Ich habe Eglifilet bestellt. Leider haben die extrem feinen Geräte der Fische mir in die Kehle gestochen. Als ich sagte, dass ich sie nicht essen könne, erwiderte der Wirt in überheblicher Manier dass alle Fische Geräte hätten und dass das immer so sei. Es wurde mir dann unwirsch etwas anderes angeboten. Leider war der Salat zum Teil nicht frisch und schwamm in der Fertigsalatsauce. Beim Verlassen des Restaurants wurden wir nicht mehr gegrüsst."

The garden area is under an old chestnut and walnut and invites you to stay. On a warm summer afternoon or evening it is a highlight to be able to enjoy the dishes in this special environment on the terrace. We would like to thank the entire team for the very fine and creative food, the relaxing and cozy ambience and for the very friendly service in the beautiful surroundings!"

"We've eaten lunch here twice this year and very much enjoyed it both times. They do an excellent veal in cream sauce which comes with good rosti, and a very good pork schnitzel full of high-quality meat. The ambiance is calm and friendly, and it's usually full of locals enjoying themselves. It's run by lovely, friendly people, too. And for Switzerland, it's not too expensive. A very nice place."
