"The hosts at our B&B (Au Bon Accueil) recommended this small restaurant on our first evening in Saint Marcan. The service and the meal was a welcome surprise after a long day of travel from the Loire Valley to Brittany by my wife, three children (ages 14, 12, 9) and I. The meal was very delicious and filling. The small village atmosphere was extremely relaxing, and it is set on a ridge or hill-top that overlooks much of the surrounding region. This was my wife's favorite place to eat during our 12-day excursion through France. We will certainly come back here to eat again the next time that we travel to the area from the US."

"I had booked into the St George hotel across the road for the evening and needed some food and a glass of wine before settling to sleep. Le Rustique was great. Friendly service and locals plus a good value menu. Some of the main plate dishes could use a little refinement but the quality of ingredients was high, especially the seafood, which was very well cooked and wonderfully fresh. Great carafe of wine for about €7, too! I enjoyed my meal and then happily sat for an hour or two, drawing and watching Dancing with the Stars!"
