"We had fish and chips at the Chip Box Furness Vale last night as we passed from Haddon Hall to Cheshire; it was delicious and the staff were lovely. My wife had the last piece of cod and I had scampi. The lady apologised that she had charged me for a large, but it was a regular and she refunded the difference such integrity. But the important thing was the quality. We have fish and chips from Caernarfon to Nottingham while we tour, and you won’t find any better than here. Well done and we look forward to returning."

"Very hit and miss this chippy. Sometimes the chips are nice, sometimes they are awful. Tonight they were obviously re-heated, re-cooked ones from yesterday and absolutely awful. Maybe cook fresh chips for your customers? The cost is still the same! Fish is also very hit and miss, this evening the batter was incredibly thick and chewy, not nice at all. Not sure if we will go again, very disappointing. Cook fresh stuff for your customers! Potatoes are not expensive."

"Very disappointed at the lack of menus for choice for the Thursday Curry Day. Apparently it's due to the company Joseph Holt not having provided them to the Railway Pub. Zack was very helpful with finding out the information re allergens. Meals were well presented and very enjoyable."
