"During our wine tour, we stayed in this place for 3 nights. Great location near the center of Treis-Karden. Room was very large with a big bathroom. Good breakfast. Excellent value in the restaurant with very good wines as well, which they produce. Very friendly and helpful owner."

"Meat, water, oil and vegetables are bought cheaply at Norma and served to the customer for more loyal money. Even the cappuccino tastes watery. "We ate at Am Stifstor twice this last weekend. There are not many restaurants in Treis-Karden where we were and the restaurant in our hotel was closed. The first night we ate out on the little terrace which is a cool spot. The second time we at inside. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals both nights and the service was good too. I would recommed Am Stifstor."

"Das Weinstuben-Menü scheint nicht der Renner im Schlosshotel zu sein, alle anderen Gäste beließen es bei Tellergerichten und bedienten sich an der Salatbar... welch ein Fehler! Wir (4 Personen) waren außerordentlich zufrieden mit der Qualität des Menüs, Preis / Leistung gehen völlig in Ordnung und die Küche zeigt, dass sie mehr kann als viele andere Restaurant an der Mosel: Produkteinsatz sehr angemessen (saisonal mit Steinpilzen, Feldsalat, Entenbrust und einem guten Stück Reh und Haselnusskruste...),alles gut gemacht, die Garzeiten stimmten bei jedem Gericht. Alles nicht experimentell oder abgehoben aber in bester handwerklicher Qualität! So soll es sein, leider findet man nur wenige Restaurants in Umkreis die es schaffen. Wer mehr will geht eben in ein Sternerestaurant. Freundlicher Service, umfangreiche Weinkarte. In der Weinstube kehren wir gerne wieder ein, für 55 Euro + Getränke hatten wir viel Spaß!"
