"For years now Pete has ran a tight ship regarding high standards and quality. I was a daily regular years ago but my job changed and I was not passing as much, but recently my new job takes me past daily so I pop in from time to time for some Spisey spuds for my wife and still I get a great welcome and cracking chips. Well recommended."

"Had the amazing fish and chips special Friday last week. it was amazing. the fish and chips and muddy. Eating was nice and hot. had not waited long to be cooked. hubby enjoyed his tee of fish was beautiful white flocks of fish. boiled to the peerfection beautiful crispy. went beautiful with beer. thanks to the staff in kingshead. Much for money high recommended xx"

"Had the unfortunate to call here recently, because not in a position to find somewhere else. we soon found out why they quickly got their order, which they then stuck with it! mushroom starter unedible and greasy residue on. the plate meant we didn't finish it. we hoped that the main course would be better without the fish and chips being edible, but again being quite oily, that may be to 90% of the people who come now were good over 70 and obviously satisfied with poor quality. my wife tried to cure a few chickens that float in an edible liquid. I had started mine, otherwise we would have gone to this place. I can only say if they appreciate their digestive system, they leave this place well alone. I complained about the bill and was warned with 'O.K' they were warned!"
