"We tried a few restaurants in the area and found that none were as good as the Sea Gull. Paul was a top bloke and quickly became a friend. Agree with the other review - Cheese Pakoras were the best! Especially wrapped in newspaper."

"Very tasty food, the butter garlic fish was delicious. Quite good soups as well. The stuff is alright, prices are a bit on the high side. Location is with sea view, but lots of passing by people."

"I do not know if Mr. Nair the GM of the hotel is going to take any action to this review but out of sheer frustration I am going to pen down my woes. I drove down from pune to kovalam with my family this evening(6.5.16) and checked in through Make My Trip. The ckeck in was good. Later we went to the hotel restaurant for dinner. Horrible dinner and pathetic service. The bill was incorrect in short it was not at all professional.When we came back from the restaurant, we found out the room door(226) did not have the appropriate key. on inquiring we were told mockingly by the HK boy that this door was not supposed to be locked . I said but there is no marking as such and no one told us that this door was not supposed to be locked.anyways, we waited for more than 2 hours to get the door opened. and this happened when i shouted and blasted every one in the hotel. I can give good suggestions to Mr. Nair only if he has the nerves to face it. I also look after hotels in Pune which are much bigger than this one and we also face problems. but we solve the problems and not make fun of the guests like what these people were doing.The rooms shown in the pics are fake. real rooms are just 10 yrs old!!!!"
