"Chose this shop at random whilst staying in Bellerive. So pleased we did. The food was absolutely fresh and delicious and as an extra bonus, very hot! We were staying two nights and as it had been so good we did the same on the second night! Equally as good! Very friendly staff!"

"I went to this business last weekend for a coffee and a biscuit. After placing my order and waiting for my coffee, a couple came along and ordered their coffees. The person serving, whom I believe to be the owner, then proceeded to make some coffees, and upon seeing him finish, I started to walk forward naturally expecting the next one made to be mine. The person handed two coffees to the couple who came after me and then when he made mine I remarked that I had come before them. There was no apology, or even an acknowledgement of this, just an ill-fitting lid on my coffee cup and a coffee so hot that it burned my mouth. I have been served by more attentive people at this business in the past, so would hazard a guess that this person runs the place rather than serves the customers. Business owners need to realise that it is their service which differentiates them from the pack. If this is the example this person wants to set for his employees, then I recommend leaving them to it and remaining back of house in future. If not for them, then for the sake of your business."

"On a lovely sunny sunny day, we thought this would be a great place to have a quickish lunch before going for a walk along the Bellerive esplanade. Over an hour later we were still waiting for a smoked salmon salad and smoked salmon pate!...Six people at the next table who 'd arrived about half an hour after us had already received cooked meals so we asked the waitress whether there was a problem with our lunch. When she investigated, it turned out there was 'I 'm sorry. The order did not go through. ' We eventually received our light lunch which was OK, but the 25% taken off our bill didn 't make us put the bistro on our 'repeat ' list."
