"Yeah, I'm going to keep this one short and sweet, because honestly, I don't think it deserves much more than that. It was horrible, in fact, I would go so far as to say that it was one of the worst kebabs I have ever had during my time reviewing kebab shops here on Google. Probably not as bad as Mum's Kababs in Tarneit, at least this kebab was semi-edible, but still, pretty damn bad. Quick disclaimer. To be absolutely fair to Serenity Blu, it should be said that they are predominantly a fish and chip shop that do kebabs on the side. That does, to a degree have to be taken into account, but nonetheless, I review kebabs, they sell kebabs. Here we go. Let's start with the good. The customer service: the lady behind the counter was perfectly pleasant, the kebab was made in good time, and I was in and out within 10 minutes. The price: This, and probably this alone is the only reason I'm giving Serenity Blu a two-star rating. Good customer service is almost a prerequisite in a business like this, but decent pricing on a kebab is genuinely difficult to find these days, and at $10, I genuinely felt like I was back in the good old days of pre-COVID. But, as I soon found out, that pricing was definitely an indicator of the kind of quality I would soon be consuming, I just didn't know it yet. The Bad, The Very Bad. Because there is so much I need to mention here, for the sake of time, I'm going to break it down category by category. The wrap and overall presentation were pretty good, they used a standard tortilla, it was wrapped nice and tight, it was toasted, it had alfoil, so far so good. That's the end of the positives, now we get to the bad stuff. The vegetables were wilted, the tomato didn't taste fresh at all, the lettuce was clearly a couple of days old, and an educated guess would tell me that they were probably sitting in the salad bar, sitting at room temperature for quite some time during this day. The chicken had absolutely zero flavour to it whatsoever. None. Zero. Zilch. Nada. No flavour. It was well cooked, it had that going for it, but in terms of actual redeemable flavour, it tasted sort of like chicken, which is kind of the prerequisite, and that was just about it. And worst of all, the garlic sauce. People that follow my reviews will know that garlic sauce is a pet peeve for me, simply because whilst it's a crucial ingredient in most kebabs, kebab shops continually find new and inventive ways to absolutely stuff it up. This garlic sauce, whilst being called garlic sauce, had absolutely zero garlicky taste to it whatsoever. In fact, as you can see from the pictures, it more resembled water, which by the time I'd got back to the car had collected in the bottom of the kebab wrapper. The entire thing was a travesty, the price was the only real redeemable part of this transaction, and honest to God, I have no idea how this place is apparently worth the five stars people have rated it up until now. Would not recommend, will not be going back."
