"Our vacation in Umbria ended with the discovery of this fabulous little town called Montone. Here we discovered the Tipico restaurant where the chef prepares typical dishes of the Umbrian culture. Very high quality dishes with correct prices and warm hospitality. Fantastic dishes with fresh truffles and meat of Umbrian origin, tender and juicy. some of our friends tasted the cod which was absolutely fantastic. the wine list offers the best of Umbrian production. recommended for those who want to find an authentic cuisine that respects the tradition of this beautiful region."

"Delightful restaurant in middle of immaculate village. Owner and his wife work there so personal touch. We don’t drink alcohol but our guests did, They were happy with the choice and quality of wine on offer. Staff ere very knowledgeable and happy to advise and assist in food and drink choices. Delightful evening had by all."

"Thanks to gian carlo and paolo for the excellent culinary experience on my birthday well. we love chefs who celebrate the best of Umbria, but bring their touch of modern Umbria in their menu. we had a little of both we started with the chianina with black truffles followed by their home speciality of primi, closing the dining experience with a perfectly aged and cooked steak. certainly worth the experience and we welcomed the opportunity to engage with gian carlo and paolo. grazie mille!"

"There is a new restaurant in Montone called Le Fonti di Venere which adds to the choice of excellent dining establishments already available in this wonderful hilltop Umbrian town. It opened about nine months ago and is located just outside the walls of the town....Don't be put off by the rather unprepossessing shop front, i.e. it looks like a cheap fast food joint the sign outside offering pizza and chips really doesn't help its image. However, once you go inside there is a very nice dining room and even a small outdoor dining area should you wish to go al fresco. The restaurant specialises in meat and fish dishes and offers a number of fixed menu or menu fisso options for per head. Alternatively, you can also go down the al a carte route where there is a wide range of antipasti, primi, secondi, etc. dishes available. All the dishes are very reasonably priced, certainly far cheaper than those available in the restaurants located inside the walls of the town. Furthermore, the quality is as good if not better than that available inside the walls. In fact, Le Fonti di Venere would certainly give at least two of these restaurants a run for their money in terms of quality and definitely in terms of price. The restaurant would appear to be very popular with local families (we went on a Friday evening) which is always a good sign and has the feel of a real local trattoria about it. We had a very good meal comprising an antipasto, a main course and a dessert which came to (for two) and also included a good bottle of wine. We can strongly recommend the Cinghiale in Salmi (or wild boar stew) which was absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly and welcomed us with a complimentary glass of prosecco when we arrived. Overall, Le Fonti di Venere is a very welcome addition to dining out in Montone and we would certainly recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed by the quality and definitely not by the price."
If you crave for sweet treats, Le Fonti Di Venere with its fine desserts can easily make an end of it, and you can look forward to traditional Italian cuisine with classics like pizza and pasta. Furthermore, they offer you tasty seafood dishes, You shouldn't miss the opportunity to try the flavorful pizza, baked fresh in an traditional manner.
