"I am awfully disappointed with my visit to the cooks family vintage tea room. I heard about it on Facebook and the page made me laugh because of the awful spelling mistakes, but I thought I’d give it a try anyway. It’s in a very weird location but I managed to find it in the end. I decided to order an onion cobblet during my visit; the mash potato was soggy, made worse by the long blonde hair found in it. I didn’t report it because the waitresses didn’t seem very approachable and all looked scruffy and as though they had no manners. The staff didn’t even seem to get along with each other let alone the customers. The way that the large old looking woman treated her chef put me off straight away. In all honesty I will never visit here again! It is awful and would recommend you swerve this old fashioned and dirty tea room."

"Can not recommend chef family vintage tee room enough! they are really pampered to choose here with the foods and drinks! an extensive list of various loose leaf teas as well as coffee and hot chocolates. where they start eating well. a large selection of breakfasts and lunches to mention the cakes and the afternoon! as soon as they go into them feel like home with the vintage decoration and music, very warm and welcoming feeling. most very reasonable prices. can not wait to go back"

"Our take away was ready in good time. Dhansak biryani excellent, naan bread rice very good. Pune chicken labelled as spicy but although flavoursome was not spicy at all. Perhaps not the right choice for me. Good size portions."

"Good coffee.and cakes.have a good read of the papers and people watching.lovely location for a coffee break over looking the river .air conditioner was a bit fresh .so they were kind enough to turn it down.the staff are so friendly.would recommend"
