"On the mountain good service and food is sometimes like the Holy Grail. La Pierre aux Loups manages to do both. Foie Gras and French Onion soup both excellent Starters. Pizza, Pasta, Burgers, Steaks and Salads are all delicious main courses. All delivered with a...willing smile. Spring skiing makes late afternoons more lunchtime than piste time. We were never hurried from our table. Yesterday we were left with a full bottle of Ginepri at our table as we had coffee. Excellent."

"Good food and service...until they needed us to leave because they wanted to accommodate a big party of people. We had booked a table for 5 of us, for our last night in Avoriaz we were not told at any stage that they had...a booking after us, and our table was booked for 7.30 by 8.30, we realised that things were starting to get rushed and the happy owner/waiter? Suddenly was not quite as patient or accommodating. We spent a lot of money, but we were hounded out by 9. (With a Group of around 10 people literally standing by our chairs!! The food was good and a more relaxed evening (as you would expect and want in this kind of restaurant especially on your last night) would have gained 5 stars."

"Beautiful frame, high service on meals on another hand, it is a 0 pointed, pane industrial escalope, gnocchi idem (cold service and I think hot in the microwave in advance) we asked to replace the gnocchi with fries "no we can not but we can put fries on supplement" then mdr the water taste it is that we are finally fleeing"
In nice weather you can even be served in the outdoor area.

"We went to the goat village yesterday and while you go out the other side, there is a beautiful little brook where the children played with dog. Then we discovered Bluesmoke directly opposite. What a great restaurant. Everything is homemade (also the mayonnaise) and cooked on the bbq or in there wood stove. All staff were very friendly and the service was fast. I had the record du Jour, which was a homemade chorizo burger who was delicious and my husband had the pulled pork bread. The kids ever had a margarita pizza. The food was amazing. It was so nice to find someone who does something else. I would strongly recommend a visit. We're going back this week as I have a piece of homemade lemon cheese in my eye. Prices are also very reasonable for the quality of food they offer."
