"Fish and chip memory ordered. the fish was overcooked and chewing. while it was not fat, it had a greasy taste. the pommes were good and the service was good. I don't think I'm going back here if I do, I wouldn't be for the fish."

"I was a little concerned with I noticed the "For Sale Sign" on the building but the restaurant is still open & functional. We had the Haddock fish & chips. The french fries are made from real potatoes and were crispy & very good. We shared a bowl of coleslaw which was creamy & good as well. We also tried the tartar sauce made in-house instead of the package available on the table. It was a nice meal. The restaurant is across the street from some awesome cliffs. Great backdrop!!"

"I think this is the only Chinese restaurant left in Bancroft so I guess they have a monopoly. It was time to try it out. The building is pretty old and run down but if people want Chinese food and this is all they've got , I guess they'll still come... and they did. We called ahead because it was late and they said they were closing at 9. We got there at 830pm. Four other tables arrived after us and one guy came in for take out ..so I guess they're doing ok. They have a small radio playing in the background for ambiance. The place has the feel of an old diner. The food selection looked good. We just got combo plates. The service was quick and friendly enough . The waitress seemed to recognize other patrons and gave them a more genuine greeting. Our food arrived within about 15min. The chicken fried rice was really tasty as well as the spare ribs but the chow mein lacked flavour. All in all, not bad for the price if you're hankering for some Chinese at the cottage."

"Truly the best restaurant in Bancroft! I highly recommend for families.The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the food, which was well prepared. The dishes were not just delicious but also of exceptionally high quality. Every dish was prepared to perfection. It truly reminds me of my Chinese homecooked food.The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and kind! They were so welcoming and always tried their best to offer a fast service despite them being constantly busy. They made sure our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable, taking care of our needs without being intrusive.I can't express enough how much I enjoyed my time at this Chinese restaurant. I will for sure come back for the delicious food and the experience was overall memorable. I know I'll be a regular customer here, and I highly recommend this restaurant."

"Don't let the ambience of the ugly brown carpet throw you off. This place serves excellent food---fine dining quality at a relatively low budget price. I started with the cabbage soup. Lovely flavours, with the ground beef nicely spiced. My partner's salad was also exquisite with arugula, beet leaves, red pepper, tomato, all totally fresh. The quesadilla: better than any you'd find at any non-Mexican restaurant (and many Mexican ones too). The freshest tasting cheese, and not overdone. Also had roasted red pepper, onion, tomatoes, and real chicken. Very tasty.Our salmon wrap: also had lots of fresh veggies and nicely cooked salmon. Also appreciated the large portions....I had to take 1/2 my wrap with me. Service was excellent and friendly........had nice discussions about gardening with our server. It can be rather hard to find, as you have to enter from the back. Just drive slowly."

"Just drop by to see a rally race in Bancroft then saw this restaurant.. Their Chicken are crispy skin and tender the inside meat.... also not greasy chicken and the light breading unlike the other big name franchise... Fast serving and very pleasant customer service.. Few hours away and I will be back... Fish and chips also are good"
