"This is a no-frills place, leave any pretensions at the door. Staff are friendly, food was all buffet-based when I was there (Sunday night). Prices vary depending on when you go (weekdays cheaper, Friday/Saturday night more expensive). Food was hot and replenished regularly. Prawn toast, hoi sin duck pancakes, salt and pepper chicken, yeung chow rice, crispy shredded chicken in honey sauce all very good. Really nice foo yung omelettes. Only one veggie option though. Nice pint of Cobra on draught. Popular with families and busy when I was there. A few screaming kids, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. Toilets were pretty grim, as was the loud commercial music playing throughout, but then I wasn’t there for the ambience. In all, I’ll be going back. Satisfying food and it’s one of the only sit-down restaurants around here, so provides an important community service."
