"The hostess was very knowledgeable and so friendly and polite while we made our order via the phone. I was really impressed. When I got there to pick up the order, the owner was just as friendly. When I congratulated the hostess, she told me how she convinced her to come back because she is also worth it. Food was excellent and we will be a customer again."

"UPDATE 10/25/22: Since writing my ??? review the quality of the food I had always liked but lately was lacking a pizzazz I hadn't tasted in some time, has GREATLY IMPROVED, I'M VERY HAPPY TO REPORT! The last 2 times it was very good, like it had beenin the early days at the first location on Ridge Rd. They must have gotten a different product than the masa harina that theyhave always used for their tortilla chips. The last time I was there about a week ago, the tortilla chips were heavier and had adifferent flavor that the ones they usually have. I prefer the thin ones they bring warm to the table with their salsa. Thesalsa has been better the last 2 times also, thicker, with onion and cilantro and made with sweeter tomatoes or a pinch of sugarwas added. The sweetness of the tomato or onion really was spot on in flavor for me and not too hot. My burritos were filledwith ground beef, but I'm still yearning for the familiar cumin flavor. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but I likethat seasoning. I wish there was even hint of it. I realize the music is meant to add to the ambience, but it's uncomfortablyloud for conversation without having to raise your voice above the decibel level of the music to be heard. Then everyone israising their voices to compete with the music. We've gone earlier on a week day and beat the crowd, making it less like acarnival atmosphere. MONTE ALBANS IS STILL THE. BEST. MEXICAN FARE AROUND. BUT I'D RATHER THEY CHARGE A BIT MORE AND NOTDOWNGRADE INGREDIENTS. I have been coming to Monte Albans for over 10 years, first the one on Ridge Rd., and then the Websterlocation more recently (7 years). I'm aware of the difficulty of businesses to remain open through a pandemic. I've beendisappointed the last 3 or 4 times. The ground beef filling for the tacos and burritos has been bland and barely seasoned. Thesalsa also has also been mostly tomato with very little else to flavor it. I am sensitive to the heat, so I appreciate"

"So delicious. The Strawtella Waffle never disappoints. This is a small quarters breakfast restaurant that also does takeout. The house may look older but it is comfortably modern inside with bright trendy retro decor. Very friendly. A diner feel with well prepared food. There is lots of choices when it comes waffles and they pair them perfectly to the sides or theme of the dish. Choices range from sweet to savory and they have all of the classic breakfast sides cooked in house. Don’t worry you WONT get microwave bacon. The takeout keeps well in the car so it’s just as delicious at home as it is at the table. Seating is limited so expect a wait on peak weekend hours. There is a small town park next to the restaurant with tables and a gazebo so if it’s nice outside you can order it to go and eat right there. Menu prices are good and portions are plenty so it’s definitely worth the money. Five stars all around Parking: Parking in rear"

"Blink and you'll drive by. Greeted by the hostess and chose to sit at the bar. The bartender made some really good cocktails and helped us with the menu. Nothing complex, just looking for recommendations.Couldn't get past the appetizers, ordered all of them as our dinner. It was a solid choice. They were amazing.Very excited to come back and sample the actual dinner menu, deserts and more of the specialty cocktails.Great staff, great food, great atmosphere."

"Worst I've ever been treated at a restaurant. My wife made reservations for three early in the day. When we got there, we were not immediately greeted by anyone on staff, which wasn't a huge deal, but it just got worse from there. The restaurant was only at about half its capacity and we were the only people waiting to be seated. After a short three minutes of standing and feeling invisible, my wife stopped one of the waitresses to tell her our name and that we had a reservation. She was able to get the attention of the host, who we believe is also the owner. His greeting was less then cordial and one where he seemed putout that he had to get up from his chair at the bar. He grunted by telling us that it would take a few minutes which wasn’t an issue. However, two minutes later, he re-approached us and spoke rudely saying that our reservations were set for three people, not two. As he only saw the two of us, he demanded we wait for the third to arrive. My wife explained that she initially called in for three but an hour later called the restaurant to clarify that there would now only be two. The owner said that he never got that message and his attitude seemed to demonstrate that there was a problem that such trivial information did not get cleared with him. My wife questioned him whether that caused an issue? He then proceeded to scold my wife claiming that she got “in the face” of one of the waitresses which apparently didn’t sit well with him. That hardly was the case at which point we turned around and said we are leaving. His tone was harsh and uninviting. Even if we hadn't called ahead to change our party size from three down to two, I wouldn't think it would be an issue given how the restaurant was less than half capacity. We will not be returning."
