"First time diner at this iconic local restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the whole occasion. The food, service and ambiance was lovely and I cannot fault the whole occasion. Not somewhere you visit regularly as it is expensive but you get what you pay for and...as a treat it’s second to none."

"Beautiful times on the French horn. one of the things I look forward to returning to england is a trip to our family favorite restaurant the french horn. there is really nothing like it in bc, so it is a real tasty. the location is great at the flow and it has real charm and character. an aperitif of champagne is always on the cards to wash the chess raw, through the fire in the lounge. we had to begin maiskrab with root and russian and lobster ravioli with which were excellent. the castle briand for the main course is beautifully cooked and presented. I had the spit roasted duck, which was delicious and just over managed a crepe suzette for dessert. there is something soothing about the French horn, as it is so consistent every time. the staff are all friendly and serve in a professional old fashion, with a lot of charm and character. eating is always excellent and the tempo cozy. it has a stellar weinlist that makes for a good reading and probably a good drink if I could afford cheval blanc!"

"It was certainly the best meal we have ever had. The service was informal but very good. I cannot comment on the bill- we were there as guests of our daughter. I had the scallop then lamb. Beautiful cooked and presented both. The pudding- rhubarb and custard- like something we had never tasted before. To top it off- macarons and other sweet meats! The whole thing was a gourmet experience. Well done chef!"

"We had a great lunch here for the birthday of a family member. the service was excellent, they were always readily available. the food was good, although the calamari was somewhat disappointing and not much tasted and the teig was slightly underboiled. However, the rest of the meal was brilliant and I would recommend this restaurant."
