"Excellent family meal. We wanted to try the kitchen with braise, we loved the concept! The dishes are delicious, the products of excellent quality and the kitchen is sought out, it is worth a visit. we went back to take breakfast, in the form of a buffet. It was excellent too."

"We were a party of 30 in Sainte Foy skiing for New Year and overall we had a wonderful trip. There are numerous restaurants to go to but Let Maison a Colonnes is right on the slopes with wonderful views. Unfortunately that is as far...a my compliments will reach. We went for lunch with seven very hungry children. The waiting staff are absolutely intolerant and impatient. They hurried us through making decisions about what to eat and the ordering process was stressful to say the least. We waited for our drinks for what seemed like an age and eventually they came. Next the food for the adults. We had all finished and still the children's food had not appeared. We asked several times and were told they were very busy and it was coming. In the meantime we watched as they bought the same food, chicken nuggets and chips, out to other customers who had arrived later than us. Eventually, a full hour after we had finished our meals, we went inside to speak to the owners as the children had still not been fed. His attitude was the worst I have ever experienced. We tried, in vain, to speak French albeit badly and the owner refused to understand. He claimed he did not speak English yet he understood what we were saying to one another. He topped it off by saying that if we could not speak French he was not interested!! We did try! The food was ok but the service is the worst I have ever experienced. Such a shame as this really should be an absolute goldmine. I would not recommend it to anyone and we did not return again. There are lots of other wonderful places to eat where the service is friendly and the food excellent."

"La Traversette is located at the bottom of the Fort piste close to the ski lift. There is a large south facing terrace with marvellous views on sunny days when the deck chairs are out for sun bathers. On bad weather days there is lots of room inside. Restuarant is self-service and there is always a wide choice of food, the tarteflette is always worth having. Good coffee, hot chocolate, beer and wine always available. Unlike a lot of mountain stops the toilets are immaculate. Well worth a stop at any time."
