"The Hüttenberg alpine farm in Walde is a restaurant beautifully situated on a slope. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the parking lot, although the route gets quite steep towards the end. In the hut there are various classic Swiss specialties and above all good fondue or raclette. The service is very cordial and the ambience very homely."

"Fun fact starter: we didn 't know that the official name is Alpli Unterwasse, but can be. For us it was called by Restaurant Älpli by everyone who recommended it : We hiked up to restaurant Älpli pretty much from around downtown Krinau, which was quite a consistent climb. No problem though just keep at it! The place itself is a nice, small stube type place with primarily large, wooden, communal tables. All the things we ate were quite nice actually and service was friendly enough and what adds to that is the ambiance of the place. Being not Swiss (not even just not locals it was nice to be surrounded by only people that appeared even fully local (and not just Swiss . So anyhoo, if you are around the area hiking or so, do give them a visit, as the whole house has a nice atmosphere!"

"After some two hours of hiking from top of Atzmännig 1150m on picturesque Geoweg Chrüzegg over Tweralpspitz 1327m and Chrüzegg 1265m we came to Alp Schindelberg at 13:30h. A time when Swiss Restaurants usually close their kitchens. But to our big surprise, we were warmly welcomed by innkeeper and Chef Oskar and his assistant and asked to sit down at their regular table (Stammtisch). Oskar went to his new kitchen and came back with a fantastic hot vegetable soup and a bowl of fresh salad, followed by roasted pork with mushrooms, pasta and carrots. All this for only Fr. 20. ! After lunch, we enjoyed the fantastic view over Goldingertal to Lake of Zurich and the real mountains in the distance. Alp Schindelberg, rebuilt and modernized in early 2019, offers good value Swiss cuisine and is open to hikers and bikers almost every day. Check their Website."

"We went here as part of the spatz männi adventure trail and sat on the terrace in the sunshine. we enjoyed a nice lunch at a reasonable price. I'd go back a day. the restaurant is a beautiful walk from the top of the sessel lift, so is a simple possibility to take the view of."
