"We went for Lunch on a Monday, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will return again. The majority of wines available are from Seguret with the balance being from the local Crus. We drove past the winery of the wine we chose on the way there. The 3 course special included a choice of three items for each course. I have a big appetite and the portions were not so generous that you couldn't finish them but enough that I was satisfied. I had the Salmon on a Waffle to start which might sound like an odd combination but with the greens and sauces included with it worked really well. I had the Fish of the day(which was Cod) for the Main that had a seasoned mashed potato on top along with Chutney. it was served on a plate that was hot which is one my measuring sticks when it comes to restaurants. If the plate is hot then the food remains hot. I took my time eating, savouring both the food and the view. The food remained hot until I finished. For desert I selected the Figs, Coconut Cake, Mango Pudding and Strawberries with a special liquid Sugar swirl creation. I wasn't familiar with the taste of figs but when mixed with all the other ingredients, once again, it works really well. The sugar swirl creation, that you can just barely make out in the picture, was interesting and tasty. It was obvious that Christophe Bonzi, the Proprietor, has an eye for detail. He arranged the water and wine glasses in a row on an angle so that when the desert plates were placed it was a complete package. The wine and water bottle had their places too, in the middle to the side, labels facing in so that you read them. We are going back on Friday evening for a special occasion."
In pleasant weather you can even eat in the outdoor area, and there is complimentary WiFi.

"The name of the restaurant is La Fontaine though it is part of the hotel Le Beffroi. We visited in late May in beautiful sunshine and ate in the garden. This review is based on that experience.The restaurant is located high in the old town, so a little climb to get there, The garden is predominantly roses and overlooks the river Ouveze and almost all of Vaison. Quite spectacular.Our menu was 32 euros and started with freshly poached foies gras. The main course was gambas (large prawns) with asparagus and we finished with chocolate fondant. We washed this down with a bottle of rose. All was of a high standard and perfect for a summers day. Total cost for two was just under 100 euros.We had not booked but got there early. Many late arrivals were turned away. So suggest booking."

"Every time we came to Vaison-la-Romaine and ask the locals for recommendation, we heard of this place. So we went. To be brief, it deserves the reputation. Very fine dining experience in all sense! We particularly enjoyed the fish and saint jacques, and the tropical...dessert. One suggestion, though: one amuse-bouche was made with topinambur... I have a problem digesting it so I didn\'t take (although it looked really nice Apparently this vegetable is rather known for such a particularity, so it may be a good idea to ask guests if they have an issue...?"
