"This is the best Indian in the region by far!! My brother and I went for a pre-birthday dinner and the food was amazing. We ordered Poppadoms, Naans, Dumplings, and Curries. They were all sublime!! The only critism I would have is their beer selection, however the beer they do have is very good."

"Best Indian restaurant for miles. ilkeston has luck, for a small, unspectacular city in derbyshire it has a few really good Indian restaurants where you can get a good meal. but jhakhas is in a league of itself. there is a restaurant close from which for a long time a clasp of ilkeston, but each dish looks the same brown mosque and tastes identical, but with different levels of flavor. jhakhas could not be different. they can see almost all individual elements and ingredients in each plate. they all look so fresh and alive, they can say they were made to order. also the spizist dishes have punched through kindhearted aromen. the choice of dress is good, they get all their typical dishes, along with a selection of specialties and recommendations that I have found nowhere else. at my three visits it was always quite quiet, which is a great scandal, while I don't like it overwhelmingly busy, I would hate being one of the excellent places to close because its not on the main street and not enough customers. the personal was always quick to help and serve. always friendly and polite, without being overlaid. I would urge anyone who goes out for a nice curry to try to take only one chance, just once, because they will certainly go back and forth. oh, and the masala chips are one."
