"We were two, after having tasted a glass of white wine for the apero, we decided to stay to eat. Very well served, I can only recommend the eggs meurettes small flat, around 9:30 pm, we felt that we had to leave because it was the closing time! the 150€ were normal for the quality of the kitchen...but not the service"

"We chose the menu du jour at 19 euros but were very disappointed at the quality of the dishes. The starter was a basic cheese pate with simple salad, the main was a dish of three quarters mashed potato and barely one quarter duck and the desert a mixture of fruit and ice-cream. "The Auberge de la Veraison is a small bistrot-style restaurant in the centre of the village of Jullié, and there's a car park nearby. We received a friendly welcome, and the chef came to see us at the end of the meal to check that we had enjoyed our meal.Our group chose from the set menus. We started with salads - with goat's cheese, duck and liver or egg (lyonnaise-style). For the mains, we chose from zander (a white fish with a fine delicate flavour) with butter and chive sauce and served with potato pancakes, steak with shallot sauce and potato and cep mushroom gratin, and frogs' legs. Everything was delicious. The portions weren't huge, but we felt they were large enough, except for the children's menus (beefburger or ham with pasta or potato pancakes, followed by ice cream) - even the youngest child was still hungry afterwards. The freshly baked tarte tatin (upside down apple pie) we had for dessert was also very good. We will definitely return next time we are in the area."
