"They renovated it and now it is gray everything. The new chairs are very uncomfortable. They removed the drink machines and you gave to buy another drink. There are no more refills. I won't be going to this location anymore."

"Yesterday was my first time at Pur Simple. If I were local it would definitely be a new regular spot for my family and me. Atmosphere is lovely, staff was very friendly and helpful, the service was great and the food amazing and huge servings. The menu has something for everyone! My only problem was deciding what delicious item to order."

"This place is close to where I live and I keep giving them another chance. Problem French fires are cut with the peel on. Often you bite in to cruchy dirt cooked in to the fries. The worst part is the dry texture of...the fries. They dont have that smooth nice potato texture I like. Problem The onion rings are hit or miss. When they take their time and make pretty onion rings they're great, however when they slap together these super thin peels of onion wrapped in a batter that's only partly attached to the ring, it all burns in the deep fryer and its basically inedible. Still they will wrap that up, put it in the bag and you'll never know what they're like until you get home and open the bag. Problem The kitchen staff smokes out behind the building which faces the road and everyone who drives by sees them in their aprons. It's very gross to consider they are handling your food. I really want this place to improve. Lots of potential and only a few changes could make this place legendary. The best part The young lady on the counter reminds me of Mary Jane in the Spiderman movies."

"I will agree with the majority of reviewers -- a significant cut above the usual NL deep fried/deep fried/deep fried, in a very attractive setting with a very pleasant wait staff. Scallops were cooked perfectly, but served with a curious candied caramel sauce. (Ask for it on the side and ignore it). The salmon was a bit on the sweet side for our taste, but cooked perfectly, i.e medium rare toward rare. The fish cakes were potato-based -- essentially "fish knishes" -- but very tasty. A busy place, so make a reservation -- and make it early, because like many NL restaurants, the kitchen closes at 8pm."

"I remember trying it when it just opened. It was a former KFC building and I guess they still had some of the material left over because my meal was served on a KFC plate...No joke. Fish was just ok and the fries were a...disappointment. Really hope they have improved!!"

"Today I decided to give Ches' Mt. Pearl one more chance, since my last visit was very dissappointing and after phoning in the order, I still had to wait 15 minutes. I ordered two 2 piece fish and chips and was disgusted with what was on the plate. Two pieces of fried batter, about 5 inches long and 2 inches wide with a small piece of fish in the center smaller than a cod nugget. It was tasteless like it never saw the salt shaker. The clerk was indiffernant and the words please and thank you were not uttered. To think this service only cost me 39.08 basicly it was for two french fries . This was their last chance. I will never be going there again. Fool me once............"
