"Very clean business, nice staff, fresh food. it is a bit more expensive than other places around, but they can appreciate the good quality of what they serve to eat was not oily and had not this old oil/used too many paint oil taste. when I was there, they offered what they had under the hot lamps or wait 7 minutes to have a new batch what I did. They had other items on the menu, but I only ordered fish and chips from them, so can not comment on it, even I did not collect any commentary on delivery service."

"Lovely restaurant and pub. Could not fault the service or the meal, it was served with a welcome and the food superb. I had the sea bass and my husband had the fish and chips, All the staff very friendly and not in your face, left to enjoy the meal without any interruption's but they were about it you needed anything. Would recommend The Fish to everyone, its a hidden gem."

"I always come to eat and drink at The Chequers when I'm visiting my family; food is always perfect and the drinks, well...you can' mess up a good beer. Staff is consistently extremely welcoming and accommodating to myself and my family, which makes coming to The Chequers a must-do. This past trip in was especially memorable as the manager dealt with my questions about the rib eye sauce as well as graciously parting with a Cotswold Brewery pint glass. So, wether you're visiting from somewhere in England or from across the pond like myself, take the time to go eat and drink at The Chequers, you will not be disappointed."

"The best place for fish and chips in the city didcot. are generous and price is in order. a great thing is that the edmond park is only 300 meters away and we have a great place to sit, eat and relax."

"We ordered for nye and while the delivery was a little later than planned, what we forgive, given the day and how busy they must have been, the food was great. salt and pepper fish (excellent though I didn't expect it in teig), lemon chicken (the best we had) and crispy chili cow (just right). good portioning and good taste, which for something more expensive than some others. nb: lemon chicken had eaten too nice, but some have ananas allergies."

"Eight friends were visiting the nearby Pendon Museum and needed a lunch break. Liam and his mother were super helpful. A private room a good selection of beers (including Butcombe) and a comprehensive pub lunch menu. Those who had the sausages and mash were still talking about them as we drove home to Somerset! The Fishpie was full of fish including smoked haddock, with plenty of cheese and a giant prawn for topping. The burger was pronounced excellent too. The Abingdon brewery Loose Cannon was remarked upon too. Large Sauvignon Blanc went down well too. We did not give more than a couple of hours notice for our visit but received a warm welcome. Food and drink were exceptional. A great pub."
