"I'm from Calgary visiting a friend here on Pender. I took my sister for lunch the other day to Philly's and we ordered the clam chowder, it was fantastic. We enjoyed an ocean view while we ate our lunch. Fresh and enough food to keep us full until dinner. Wonderful creamy base and lots of seafood! Yum! I will be back for seconds!"

I overheard them talking about when to cook my onion rings so that everything came out fresh at the same time which I appreciated.As others have mentioned, the prep time is slow. I waited about 20-25 minutes so make sure you have enough time. That said, they’re two people working in a converted motor home so all things considered I thought it was great ?."

"We were feeling like a lazy sunday, and vanilla leaf cafe was the perfect morning to our last day at Pender.They have a delicious salted caramel blondie and, for chocolate peanut butter lovers, a chocolate peanut butter square that tastes like a reece's peanut butter cup on steroids.Staff is super nice and there is definitely room to lounge with a good book."
