"The staff were very welcoming, table setting was modern, atmosphere was lovely, food was amazing... however, I needed my beef substituted but am not vegetarian. Staff assumed I was and placed a plate of roasted cauliflower in front on me for my main. I was a little disappointed as I was expecting another meat substitute chicken, fish, lamb etc.Overall, we had a great time at Esca and will definitely return"

"My husband and I had dinner at Shakey Tables on Friday night and we are both extremely disappointed that we've only just been there and the restaurant is closing in December. The food was absolutely amazing. I'm always impressed when the food comes out hot as we've had many luke warm meals, but at Shakey tables everything was perfect. The sticky soy pork belly with crispy octopus & watermelon salsa was one of the best entrees I have ever had, the octopus was perfect. The presentation of every plate was outstanding! I was honestly blown away by how superb everything was.Ruby was lovely and attentive and we will definitely be back a few times before they close in December. Thank you for a perfect night"

"Amanda's was recommended to us for a great place to eat especially as we were vegetarian and they had a good menu. The starters were great, fresh and a good portion, the main (tofu curry) was ok, way too spicy for my husband. Downsides were you gas to pay $2.50 for a measly bread roll, unheard of! The service was slow and reactive with little or no interest in the guests. Food took over 70 minutes as well.Would never go back and certainly not cheap!"

"We dined at Esca on Saturday evening. We chose the 2 course A-la Carte menu for $60pp and I was a little dubious about it being worth the $60 but the dishes were just lovely. I had the vegetarian option of the mushroom gnocchi and the flavours were outstanding. It was a hard decision for me to go for the vegeterian option but my friend chose the bug tail which came with a melt in the mouth piece of smoked pork jowl which I got to try as well and that was delicious as well.....we both ordered the braised beef short rib and I have nothing bad to say about this dish either....it was divine!!"
