"This place is well hidden in a beautiful spot by the pump house theatre. So we had to really look for it after parking the car. We reached there before 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Thats sort of peak lunch time on a sunny day. We get told that the kitchen was closed due to the rush and could not serve any mains. That was very dissapointing indeed. However, they were able to serve some really nice dessert crepes and coffee. Service was good. While this time we had to go away without lunch at lunchtime, we shall return again hoping to get some lunch or dinner here sometime in the future."

"Came here for lunch on a sunny Spring weekday. Service was nice and prices weren’t too steep. It’s a great place by the waterfront when the weather’s nice.<br/ <br/ I ordered a soba noodle salad, which came with a whole bunch of veges. It had a nice sesame-based sauce, and overall felt like a healthy oriental salad. It was filling but didn’t make me feel bloated.<br/ <br/ My colleagues had the waffles (which can be made gluten-free). The berry version comes with ice cream, which would be very tempting once summer rolls around!"

Thursday and Friday evenings have live music with some of Auckland legendary musicians is a treat including Linn Lorkin ,Peter Scott and Hersal on the squeeze box is a night all the regulars talk about . "The place was almost full when we came. Seated in a breeze as we had a reservation. Ordered their Aug special, wine mains came first before our oyster appitizer. The beef cheek was so tender fish had the crispy side. Late came our bread entree, needing no dessert as we were full to the brim. Would love to go back, hopefully there will be no service mishaps."

"Great service! Fancy area with older crowd/ people on dates. The decor is standard fancy lol. The portions are small but worth the money because it is very delicious. I would recommend the lamb, truffle chips, raw fish, even something simple like bread was amazing. I have dreams of that lamb it was that good. Honestly we ended up buying so much food because it was that good! The drinks are pretty good too. Would come back again for a special occasion."
