"It is an overdue review but I think this little place has definitely earned it! We visited the Little Richshaw for lunch on our way back Adelaide in early Oct 2020. It was a surprising and extremely satisfying visit. The food they offer were exceptional in freshness of ingredients, techniques in food preparation, food combinations and presentation, and mostly importantly the well balanced flavors and texture of food themselves. We ordered the wooden ear (black fungi) and tofu potstickers, the line caught grilled whole squid, crispy Szechuan pepper fish Gua bao with Kohlrabi salad and crackling roast pork belly with green papaya salad. The potstickers were not blend at all and I could sense the woody scent and typical aromas and little bouncing feeling from the black fungi and the sauce was to die for. I ended up ordering a bowel of jasmine rice just for the sauce. The squid was perfectly cooked which was soft and juicy. The crispy Szechuan pepper fish had paper thin ground Szechuan pepper flour coating enclose a large and meaty piece of fresh fish (barramundi) and each bite was so divine. TBH, the flavor intensified crispy coating was so thin and it is not any chef can easily pull through. The only disappointing dish was the pork belly as the meat was too chewy (bad cut and/or over cooked), although the cracklings were crispy and I could tell they probably had smoked the meat. The beauty for cracking pork belly is to have tender and juicy meat and crispy cracklings at same time. That dish still needs a lot improvements in my humble opinions, but I do like their ideas of woven noodles very skillful approach and a deconstructive way to present an authentic viet noodle salad bowl! Accompanying salads for dishes above also really stood out. If u have got bored in other restaurants with their leafy salads or just steamed vegetables, you wouldn’t be disappointed here. We will come back to try the other items on the menu!!! Also, we noticed that owners have put a lot of thoughts into their interior decorations and the ambience was clam and authentic. We were so lucky as this place was entirely booked out for the long weekend. I got a prompt call back from one of owners, Mike advising there was seats available as someone didn’t rock up."

"I was lucky enough to win a Locals Lunch for two and today we went. Firstly we were seated at a table with views of the gulf, even on a winters day like today it was a great view. The options were plenty and we were both surprised at the generosity of the serves, the wine options were lovely. We decided to grab desert (which was not included in the prize) because we had seen others and they looked so nice, I loved the Lemon choice, fantastic. Thanks Star of Greece for the prize we will be back."

"Had the spaniola pizza the other night after late night meeting in the city. Called whilst on the expressway - i was the passenger - gave the eta and Rio added 5 mins so the pizza would be just coming out of the oven. timed to perfection. travelled home and got stuck in. would have to say it was the best bought pizza i have had in a very long time. anchovies were a winner. thanks Rio."
