"Tony is a nice host. the rooms were clean, but rather cold, although we were given a portable heating. the tap in the bathroom had water that smells like a canal when she turned it on perhaps a ventilation problem. there was no hot water, but tiny had mentioned. the pilot light sometimes breaks out with high winds. I personally wouldn't stay here again. good for warmer time of the year maybe. the beds were comfortable and the eucalyptus restaurant and the bar next door is fantastic."

"There seemed to be only one waiter serving when we visited. Took our order promptly but then it all went downhill. Three tables who arrived after us got their food before us, two of which were pizzas not cooked in the Miranda kitchen it would seem. When the food finally arrived it was poor. Fish was over salted, coconut shrimp not great. It wasn't cheap and the service charge was already included on the bill at 15%! It was not worth 15% and I hate feeling obligated. We would never have tipped 15% if it was optional... maybe why they do it. We won't go back."

"We came to this restaurant after reading good reviews we were told there was a 20 minute wait which was fine we put our name down and came back. As we were 5 minutes late we were told our table had been given away and it would be another 25 minute wait. The hostess told us that the food was worth the wait and that we would have the best table in the restaurant. Not a problem we knew it was our fault we were late so came back after a further 25 minutes. We were then told that there would be a long wait as the kitchen was very busy at this time. Again this was absolutely fine as we thought the restaurant must be super busy. We then followed the hostess upstairs to see that there were 4 free tables in the restaurant, meaning only 4 tables were seated. We did wonder why we had to wait so long for a table but again this was fine. We then ordered our food. The soup starter came extremely quickly roughly after 2 or 3 minutes which was average, tomato and very sickly. My partner had just finished his soup and I was literally half way through mine when the mains came. The waiter proceeded to stand by our table and watch me quickly eat the rest of my soup before taking our bowls and instantly putting down our mains. We were again left confused as we were told how busy the kitchen was. The mains were average at best. And I was slightly hesitant to eat this as the waiter advised that the food ‘should be’ gluten free. This was by far the most expensive meal we have had in Mexico, and we have visited various cities and towns, and unfortunately it was the worst. I wouldn’t recommend."
