"My wife and I had Sunday lunch today. I ordered the Ploughmans Lunch and my wife ordered a pastie with salad.Unfortunately my wife could eat the salad due to its extra garnishing of human hair.We did bring it to the attention of the staff who apologised but did not offer any reparation. The kitchen staff did not wear hair nets. Questionable food safety standards."

"I love doing brekky on a Saturday so I thought I'd try this place. For health reasons I went for the fruit and nut muesli with greek yoghurt, with a skim mugaccino.The muesli was basically deep fried oats with a few sultanas and a bit of dedicated coconut. No other fruit, no nuts, and for the attempt to eat more healthily, i might as well have had the big breakfast!!! The yoghurt was thin and watery (ie cheap quality) and only tasted ok. It was NOT Greek yoghurt.The coffee was ok but that is all.The service was appalling. The girl who took the order never once showed any courtesy or said please for the money or thank you when handing the change. No basic politeness at all. A couple of grunts and total disinterest. When I thanked her for the food when she brought it, another grunt.Don't bother. Coffee club is better than this and of you venture up diagonally across the road from the target end of Westfield/bus mall, that place, urban roast?, does very good food and coffee and they are quite pleasant too. Definitely worth the walk compared to this place."

"Putting Gungahlin on the map! The best patisserie in all of Canberra! I've visited a number of times and their breakfasts are like every other cafe. Their desserts are magnificent! Recommend: Caramel tarts, pecan tarts and macarons. The fruit tarts are cute. The Russian honey cake well homemade always tastes amazing but this one is pretty good too!"

"Ok, firstly I will be going back. Went for dinner last night, very good service, friendly staff who were attentive but not in your face. So now for the BUT....the food was a little bit of a let down...ordered the Signature Gumbo, and I don;t know if the spices in it were not ground up properly, but it was gritty...so not pleasant to eat. The seafood, some of it was cooked well but some of the fish pieces were over cooked, no seasoning added, not like a gumbo should be. Other half ordered the pasta with slow cooked lamb, it was better but again lacked seasoning. Our daughter had the cheese pizza, and it was delicious! Lovely crust, cheesy, not too much sauce...excellent! So, I will be back, it has a great atmosphere and again, service very good BUT will stick to the pub classics, steak, shnitzy, burgers and pizza. I think sometimes places try and be what they are not....do what you do, do it well and leave the fancy stuff to the fine dining restaurants."
