"Came in on a whim, decor was nice staff were lovley. Food is expensive but you get a big serving. But holy hell was it bland, nothing that i or my parner ate wowed us. Definitely make a trip up the road to browns burgers."

"Overnighting in the area, so looked up what was near by and chose this wonderful place, very friendly staff, we both had sticky beef rib with mash and veg, it was chefs first attempt at these, and wow they were yummy . The meat was...falling away perfectly the flavour was spot on and not overpowering ,the mash and veg cooked perfect, and very generous portions too, very good value for money."

"Sensational steak, sides and breads (to start). I had the frame rub, it was so crunchy and yet a succulent steak that just fell apart. We got a tip from a local to go here and honestly we had to hold back going back the second night we were in Hobart. An amazing experience and well priced considering the quality. Can’t wait to go back!"

"Tried to order a cake and out of a choice of over 15 there was only one available, tried to book a cake other than the single cake on offer 4 days ahead and it could not be done. On website it states it could be done with one days notice. This business is a bit hit and miss , previous service in cafe poor but this time able to get a coffee with family without too much difficulty."

"Party of 5 just had a 2 course lunch. Asked the staff what is the beef dish and she answered some sort of stew . I ordered (clearly) this with chips and salad and paid. Came with hard cooked carrots and beans, full of rice...and not much meat. No chips or salad as we don 't do that Ice cream was miniscule (2 small serves) with a bit of chocolate and some sort of gritty sugar lolly crystals sprinkled. 1st time in 82 years I have never finished my ice cream dessert. My friends did not finished their own meals with similar complaints about their food ranging from undercooked to burnt One had parma that was delivered in a half serve. The only bright side was the wonderful waitress Jess who was full of genuine apologies. The poor girl put on a very brave face and handled us in a most professional manner. She deserves more support from the supposed chefs who must make her endeavors seem hopeless. The consensus of us all was Never ever again"
