My wife and I returned for a meal after our first was a total disaster. I had curried prawns with rice , chips and salad at no extra cost my wife had chicken breast wit mustard seed sauce, chips and salad we both had citrus tart and cream for sweets which was a Sunday special for a total cost each of $16 (a very affordable meal for us cooked to perfection served by staff who obviously loved their work all ways with a... What User doesn't like about Risdon Brook Hotel:
The RBH is an average pub meal. There is the usual steak, parmi, seafood basket etc. The kids meals were 9 bucks a pop for a main, dessert and drink. If you're looking for food in an area of slim pickings then you'll get a meal but nothing to write home about. Staying at the nearby caravan park means it's an easy walk, if not we wouldn't have bothered. View all feedback.
The restaurant has a very clean and spacious dining area. The prices of the food were reasonable compared to other places. The service was quick and efficient. The food was delicious, prepared by a new chef. The staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Previously, this was a great pub meal. unfortunately it is now on our no GO list. juicy garlic bread was slices of white broth with garlic butter that was a sign of the dinge to come. Seafood baskets contain mull quality fish that. was very overcooked, chips were strange and looked out to have been boiled in old oil. other meal times were reported sub standard also. the salate was warm, tomato had dried edges that looked like he had long been left out of the refrigerator, it was not edible. the personal was friendly. we do not go back here and we would not recommend this place at all. tasmania has great competition in the food and this is just an absolute sweat.
They haven't been here for a while. one of the most beautiful things was the delicious garlic bread and steak. Now, the garlic bread was 4 pieces cold bread. browned on a side with tasteless garlic butter....$9 I could add not have ordered the steak...at $40 plus. what a sweat! I ordered the broken fish. fish was nice, but the chips weren't. my partner ordered chicken burgers....before found 2 pieces huh in it. totally unimpressed, complained to the waitress who said she would give it to the cook. she said the menu had changed. I'd say put back the old menu. the staff was nice, the menu prices and meals not good. will not be back soon.
We booked 4 days earlier and confirmed with the personal if we could bring a vaters tageskuchen. Previously only advised, raw fish and sloppy looking pasta, received bad service at the bar, waited the staff looked like they were not there....After we have brought out our cake to say that they have no knife, teller and fork for the cake we have told them that they could deliver. unfortunately most of us do not come back!
Ordered scotch steak medium. It was way over cooked, grisly and tough. Wasn’t scotch fillet steak either. Certainly not worth the pice…..won’t be going back. Chips were soggy. My partners meal was “average” in his words. Garlic bread delicious, staff awesome. Meals…****
