"The most over-rated place ever!. Table 48 is so over rated and over priced its not funny. I can cook just as good pasta at home, so why would I want to pay their prices for it?"

"WAS SERVED 1 LAMB SHANK WHEN THE CUSTOMER BESIDE ME HAD THE SAME ORDER AND WAS GIVEN TWO BIGGER LAMB SHANKS ON THE PLATE. I ordered lamb shanks which arrived in a form of one shank and half of the plate was full of mashed potatoes. When i complained about getting 1 lamb shank instead of two as it was case before, i got an answer that the one lamb shank was the weight of the two combined together. It was a lie as i had that meal before and the lamb shanks where much bigger and there were 2 of them served on the plate. "Generous servings, but the food took ages to prepare and they use MSG! Fried rice was white rice with a few bits of egg and ham. No soy sauce, no shallots, no dragon's breath from the wok. The sweet and sour pork had too much batter and the sauce was bright pink from excessive food colouring. Stuck in the 60's this place needs to learn how to cook proper modern Chinese food like in Hong Kong now."

"Gift voucher went to waste. We had a gift voucher to go here and I was still sad that we wasted money! The voucher was for a substantial amount of money and yet, after ordering two mains and an entree, we didn't have enough left over for drinks. The food was far below what I expected. When I went to open the door, I assumed it must be closed, because it was so dark inside. Not many others were in the restaurant and the atmosphere was pretty dreary. I know that Dyer's has been there for a long time, so was excited to see what it was like. Unfortunately, I was not impressed."

"I enjoyed everything I ate from this restaurant tonight. I had the honey chicken which in most chinese restaurants around town is deep fried to a crisp, but here it was fried yet soft. A welcome change. The fried rice was cooked well and tasted better than most I've had around Ballarat. The winner for me however was the Char Shiu (Chinese Roast Pork) entree. It had an immediate delicious BBQ pork smell and tasted amazing! Will definitely be back."

"If you would ask me last month, I’d say they are one of the best pizza places in Ballarat. But after last night, I’m sorry to say that they’re degrading and pizzas are not the same at all! I used to be a fan of their bbq beef pizza which ordered last night too. But it was just worse ! They didn’t even put BBQ sauce in the pizza. Quantity of meats also got very less. Really disappointed! I might try one more time, if it’s still bad, I’m not gonna continue my visit to the shop."
