"There are only two places to stay for accommodation in Laidley and they are both pubs, The Exchange and the QNH. I was attending a wedding and needed an overnight stay. I stayed at the Exchange Hotel, a 100+ year old building. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. There is a sink, bar fridge and reverse cycle air conditioner in each room. The toilets and shower are just down the corridor. The main balcony overlooks the only main street and is large and quaint. The staff are so friendly, nothing is a problem and the locals that drink there are just as friendly. Would stay there again."

"Visited on a whim for late lunch and, literally as we walked up, the doors were being closed. It turns out there hadn't been a single visitor for two hours so the staff were calling it a day. However, and to our pleasant surprise, a quick discussion led to us being given entry, not just for a wander through the house but also for food and coffee. To sum up our experience, the staff (volunteers, I believe) were awesome. They were down-to-earth, friendly, funny and very accommodating. The home itself was interesting, and detailed life of an era past. Explore the bedrooms, kitchen and even music room, and experience tools, utensils, furniture and instruments from yesteryear. There are also dozens of photos to appreciate. And, last but not least, our chicken cheese toasties were yummy and the apple strudel (with cream AND ice cream) was delicious. I'd go back for that alone! If you're up for a quick slice of local history and some inexpensive food and drinks, pop into Das Neumann Haus. It's a great way to unwind for an hour and fill your belly."

"Had a friend visiting from interstate so decided to take to laidley a country town.Looked up on site on google said open Wednesday read menu was eager to try. So off we set arrived walked around found the place looked lovely but disappointed to find wasn’t open.,, please update it here sites so people don’t travel for know reason…luckily we found another eatery which we will recommend instead"
