"The Seerestaurant am Zugersee Lido is on the lake of Zug in Walchwil, about 10km south of Zug. The #5 bus passes it or you can park your car outside. Actually it sits on the small boat harbour of Walchwil, the Lido (swimming bath) is another 500m south. I ate with friends there and we enjoyed the local fresh seafood. Prices were reasonable for dinner, given we are talking about Switzerland."

"Lunch for three and we all were quite happy. My veal liver came over well and that is good for a specialty like that. My friens Felchen and Salat were frssh and were attractive to the eye. Service was friendlich, a little salopp. Our table right on the lake over the water under some trees- could not better. Inside on the way to the restlooms the age is sure showing and lots of work to be done,if the place can create the revenue to afford it. It has potential. Good summer stop on lake Zug."

"As a local resident I always wanted to give it a try and go to the Sternen. As i heard of the rumors of its closing coming up soon I though that my friends birthday is a good reason to invite her to a fine dinner. Located in a really picturesque antique wooden Swiss house right next to the lake, we were led into the main room to be seated, which also have the look and feel of a nice antique chalet. We tried the suggested menu and were surprised with beautifully presented plates on all courses with taste explorations in Swiss haute cuisine. Service was impeccable and the wine suggestions greatly matched each dish. It was an exceptional experience, meeting our expectations by far. Of course the whole menu comes with Michelin star pricing, matching the location, service, quality and presentation. I personally haven't tried their new menu after the change of owners but I am curious to give it another try soon."
