"Was here 6 times in the past, every time I come on holiday. always very excited and looking forward to our lunch. it always had a set menu with a brilliant selection of things to do, but unfortunately this has changed. to the jazz lunch, which was very overpriced, and the set menu had no choice. it was a cross between high-time dinner and schooling. no words to describe how disappointed my friends and I were. I also ordered a coffee that never arrived. the service was slow and appalling. there was a nice waiter who served our wein. we could continue to try another one because the a la carte menu still looks amazing, but absolutely never go back or recommend the jazz punch."

"The owner of caravela is lovely and treats all guest like old friends. The food was good and the restaurant was never as busy as some of the ones nearer to the beach. Good value and little extras like a glass of port and lollies for the children made us return a few times whilst we were in Burgau."

"We have gone to sapinho many ties .and are going again next week . this place is great value and service.small local place in figueira.love it.would recomend to anyone looks like little cafe from outside with locals in the summer out side drink coffee or inside watching tv and chatting . but at th back small restaurant could not be better served or treated anywhere. if you pay a visit you will see what i mean ."

"I can 't fathom why this great little restaurant hasn 't had a review before . Carlos and Galyna had a restaurant on the opposite side of the road for many years and moved into these new premises at the start of 2020. The food has been excellent every time we 've been . Their pizzas are the best I 've ever had but if you don 't fancy that , they have a great menu with lots of choices of portuguese style meat and fish dishes and pasta dishes so I defy anyone not to find something on the menu that they fancy. The new resturant is very smart and clean and Galyna is so welcoming and friendly and really makes you feel at home. The prices are very reasonable wine list is not too extensive but there are some good wines available also at reasonable price. The main body of the restaurant is below street level and ideal if you want to escape the sun and the heat. Carlos and Galyna 's restaurant will always be on our go to list . They are throughly decent , hard working people who deliver good food and service at a very reasonable prices. Highly recommended."

"We visited this restaurant on our first night before unpacking, fortunately they are open to non residents and made us feel very welcome. Something for everyone including veggie options on the menu, good service and the staff appear to enjoy working there, always happy and attentive. Large portions, didn’t have to wait ages and good choice of drinks. We returned another evening and also popped in for breakfast one morning; a wide choice of pastries/fruit/cereal/meats and full english. It’s a little way out of the main eating area in Luz but there is car parking and the walk sets you up for a lovely evening and a leisurely dinner. I’d happily stay as a guest and would certainly return to the restaurant."
