"About 20 years ago we stayed in La Franqui when it was a sleepy little beach resort at the end of a small road. It is has expanded (obviously) but this restaurant has appeared which is a big plus. We, a family of 8 ate there at lunchtime and were all delighted with the quality and variety of the food, with excellent seafood options but also some good choices for those like me who prefer meat. Thoroughly recommended, and I guess even more attractive for those who like their brand of music at evenings/weekends."

"Le Mange Debout is a lovely little spot run by the sweetest woman, Cathy. She was so kind and upbeat and warm. She was excited to tell us about her homemade sauces and spices and sandwiches, and offered a book to read while we waited. The food was delicious and inexpensive. You must go! Absolutely worth it!"

"This is the only restaurant at Marseillette, a small quiet stopping place for Canal du Midi boaters. You have to walk up through a field to get there, or up onto the busy main road. We were seated in the garden at the back and ordered our food. Unfortunately when it arrived a hornet (like a wasp on steroids) appeared and one or two ordinary wasps were also flying about. My younger son was upset about this having been stung twice in the past: the waitress immediately offered us a table inside, where we tucked into some excellent traditional French food. I had to die for rabbit in mustard sauce - should have asked for the recipe. Prices very reasonable, too."
