"Everything we order from starter to dessert and wine was absolutely delicious. It was like eating at a Italian family home! The view to Cutigliano is also stunning!!!! We went during the winter but I am sure in the summer it could be also beautiful...with the tables outside.... People working there are so gentle!!!! Loved it!!!!"

"The perfect mountain retreat. We were met by our host who explained the drive up to the property. It 's a gravel road but no cause for concern nothing our little Fiat couldn 't handle. We were then shown around the apartment and had everything explained to us. I can 't fault anything. In fact, I 'm already planning our next visit. Coming from a town it was a little odd to experience such a strange 'noise ' in the mountains the strange part being that there was no noise. Just the bird tweets, rustling of animals and the occasional church bell from a distance village. Peaceful, beautiful views of the Appenines, accommodation second to none. We stayed here during the week and there were no other guests. We sat out in the evening enjoying the sun setting on the mountains with wine and liquor to keep us warm. As the sun set the lights outside amongst the property and gardens come on automatically. The small apartment for two people on the front of the property is perfect. We didn 't eat out or at the onsite little restaurant, instead cooking our own meals. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. Late in the evening we watched a little tv. The bed was comfy and maybe it was the fresh air, the walking or the liquor but we slept peacefully both nights. The bathroom was small but perfectly fine for what we needed perfect for two. And as with everything else, spotlessly clean and well presented. We stayed here as it was my birthday and this experience made my birthday just perfect. We were originally planning to stay somewhere in Abetone but we 're really glad we stayed here. Perfect! Already planning our next visit back as winter approaches the views must be just as stunning with snow on top of the mountains."

"This is a property serving the ski slopes of Doganaccia , not far from the upper station of the cable car leading up from Cutigliano. It so crowded in the ski season, or at least on weekends (when we have visited). Both a bar is available, with sale of sandwiches and snacks, both (downstairs), a free-flow cafeteria, we have experienced. The look of the property and the kitchen are certainly not fancy, but the food is tasty and good value. Especially worthy the homemade pies. We also enjoyed: polenta with mushrooms and sliced beef with fried polenta. The bill was very fair: 28 € for two, including water and wine in bulk (a small size jar). Apparently this is the only eaterie available in Doganaccia: at least using it you can avoid having to go down to Cutigliano for lunch, or settle for a sandwich."
