"Un accueil souriant et agréable. Nous avons passé un bon moment. Une auberge avec un petit côté "rétro", une petite épicerie, possibilité de diner en terrasse. Menu du jour à 14,50€ : bavette avec 2 sauces au choix accompagnée de frites et de salade. Desserts : crème brûlée (avec une bonne épaisseur et savoureuse) ou crème aux oeufs. Possibilité de manger des grenouilles mais sur commande.Deux petits inconvénients car rupture du papier WC et des essuies mains."

"Midday lunch on a Tuesday at Les Vieux Puits, right on the market square in Marcigny. Menu incredibly priced at 13 euros INCLUDING cheese AND dessert AND coffee. Is it "fine dining"? Of course not, but it's very good indeed. Small charcuterie plate to begin, followed by three perfectly cooked chicken drumsticks over fair curry rice. Cheese board left at table so we could take as much as we wanted, with five different cheeses to choose from. Very good chocolate mousse with little savoyard cookies buried within, along with a couple of pieces of fruit. Nice. Rapid service. Great experience, pleasant setting in the square."

"This is a late evaluation of beatrice’s restaurant after our trip to marcigny, where 1 of us returned for the first time in 65 years, while a school boy on a change trip from Britain. beatrice and her personal offered our dinner at 2...Occcasions in juni 2017. of the 2 meals, although the first was good, the second was excellent and was probably the best meal we had spent in the 14 days we had spent in paris and sw france. yes, the service was a bit slow, but if you eat good French cuisine in a charming little place, who cares? again many thanks for their hospitality."
