"Stopped after a few runs and partners were salivating over the grilled sausages on offer. So much so that we had to go back the next day for them to fulfill their dreams. Served at the bottom on the Giand' Alva run in Corvatsch, its a welcome break with a nice view. Worth a stop."

"In a beautiful location, within walking distance and with a clear view of Lake Sils, a house with a lot of flair and culture in which you can immediately feel at home. Very friendly welcome, the rooms are tasteful and totally comfortable, decorated with lots of pine wood, an inviting fireplace room with a large terrace facing the lake. What is particularly special are the many shelves with well-selected books with a wide range of topics, in the fireplace room, the hotel corridors and the rooms. A paradise for bookworms. The meals are fine and delicious, varied and lovingly prepared. All of the service staff are attentive, friendly and in a good mood. They seem to enjoy working in this special house. Many thanks to everyone and especially to the friendly, open-minded and effective hotel management around Mr. Courtin. We'd love to come back!"

"We stopped for lunch at the Restaurant Furocla Surleij and were completely disappointed with our experience. Though the soup we ordered was good, a bread and cheese plate was served up with stale bread and very little cheese, and service was brusque (at best). Toss in VERY high prices and a poorly maintained toilet, and this was one of the worst mountain hut experiences we've ever had -- while the view from the terrace may be great here, don't expect to get good food or good service at reasonable prices."

"For many years we stayed at this hotel on half board, so we have eaten many dinners there. Now we stay in a vacation apartment, but we ate dinner there once again. It was a very lovely experience. First thing to note is that it's best to reserve. Secondly, that there is a fixed 4 course menu, which you can see in advance of course. And finally, if you inform them in advance of any extreme dislikes or wishes (vegetarian? they can usually make plans to accommodate you happily. Dinner is served starting at 19:00 and they like everyone to be seated no later than 19:30, although of course you don't have to wait for the late comers. This family owned and run establishment is smart, elegant and homely. Fluffy white linens, gleaming crystal, and a warm welcome. The food is simply excellent, the wine list is rich and the service friendly. We will return again and again. Especially on nights when Chef Dumeng Giovanolli is orchestrating the kitchen."
