"This wee restaurant is a local favourite. The food is great but actually the front of house service is better. It's rare to find such a presence at the sharp end. Always polite, very observant and busy as a bee in a gentle way. The soup btw was incredible (I've never said that about soup before! . My guests enjoyed wonderful loch Leven mussels and delicious langoustines. I had the duck and it was great although personally I'd rather have it cooked pink than medium. It was slightly over for me but the mash and jus was great. Don't miss Samphire if you're in Inverarary but book ahead to avoid disappointment."

"The house restaurant is a small restaurant located on the ground floor of a typical inveraray house. is next to the church, in the center of the city. We went to eat there basically because all the restaurants in the city seemed super expensive for what they offered. scocia is usually much cheaper than inglaterra, but as inveraray is a tourist village most restaurants take advantage of the short season of good time. We asked for a fish and a chip that served with tea. It was classic fish, and nothing from the other world, but at a decent price. We also taste a full potato, baked with haggis. haggis is a Scottish national dish, it is a sheep lung that fills other guts and a lot of grass. It's much better than it looks, and we tried the sausage roll, which was a strange bread with a square and flat sausage in the middle, disappointing. the account was less than 15 pounds for two half days. There are few tables and everything was full, but the service was nice and fast."

"When we booked online, we opted for a dinner and spa break package including: unlimited access to the spa a treatment massage of 30 min person tea time a dinner classic double room. To this, we had paid a supplement for an early check in with an arrival time at 12 p.m. instead of the usual 3 p.m. On our arrival : the room was not ready (30 minute wait we were not entitled to tea time because we were supposed to book it in advance and before a certain time (this was not specified to us when we arrived... dinner, beyond the fact of being disappointing with a certain discrepancy between quality and price, was only included in the formula within the limit of 70 euros (for two not even per person! , an information which does not appear anywhere and which has not been communicated to us... And for which we did not take any desserts! The only positive points: the location, the spa and the massage which are really worth it! Ultimately and to sum up the prices of a 5 star but which does not have the stuff... Rooms: 3 Service: 1 Location: 4"

"Nice restaurant, surprisingly big inside! Prices are average for the town, but the portions are very well sized, especially the fish tea. You definitely get value for money. Good friendly service too."
