"Really nice food!!! Oyster is much better that I had in the glass house in Hobart which said as Blackman bay oyster. The taste of white fish is super juicy, variety and tasty, I think it's a must try with brilliant grilled vegetables as base. Comparing to seafood, the steak is so normal, how to say, not taste as beef, just something meat but not really good beef. Overall, I highly recommend here for seafood."

"Ate lunch today at Steves. Where the meal may have lacked in areas the exceptional staff made the experience very pleasant. Chantelle (excuse me if spelling incorrect) was exceptional and is a credit tot the facility. <br/>I had the garlic prawns, followed by the brandy snaps, and a cappuccino. <br/>While the prawns were probably a fraction over cooked for my liking, the exceptional garlic cream sauce was the perfect partner. <br/>A well made cappuccino in a restaurant is becoming more rare by the day. Couldn 't fault today 's effort perfect coffee to complement the dessert. <br/>Brandy snaps were unfortunately piped with cream from a can which was a little disappointing because on the same plate was a perfect scoop of French cream with some bitter dark chocolate pieces. If that cream was whipped and piped into those brandy snaps it would have been a 10/10 dessert. <br/>All in all a pleasurable lunch. Happy diners were seen about the room. I feel $28 for garlic prawns is high end but I would happily pay the $4.60 for a cappuccino of that quality every day if I could. <br/>Don 't know if there is a 'Steve ' at Steve 's grill but if this customer can offer some advise Hang on to your staff made dining there a happy experience."

"I guess we all know that Italian food here is created to our tastes especially if you have visited Italy however this place has been here for 41 years so I did expect a little better. I had Lasagne my partner the Scallops Al Vino. My lasagne was so hot I had to leave it for 15 minutes. I found the mince very lumpy and in parts having a rancid taste. Microwaved for sure and the sauce very watery and lacking taste. The scallops however very nice and not overcooked with a very tasty cream sauce and salad which you do not get in Italy as they only ever serve one thing at a time not several foods together so as to savour the taste and not have a multitude of flavours. THUS THIS IS LIKE SO MANY ITALIAN PLACES HERE IN AUSTRALIA THAT SERVE UP FOOD DESIGNED TO OUR SPECIFIC TASTES. And sadly not traditional which is such a shame for a place that has been here for so long. They certainly need more staff the lovely older lady was very obliging but run off her feet in the end and did not return to ask about dessert or coffee which we would have had. So I guess that is a loss to the business as we did not wait however she did apologise for not getting back. NOT HER FAULT EMPLOY MORE STAFF PLEASE as this would make it so much nicer. Such a shame as they have suffered so much during covid and a lack of tourists here in Tasmania. With the above and two glasses of NZ Sauv. Blanc THE TOTAL BILL $85. Such a shame but I guess make a visit and judge for yourself as this is just my opinion. Parking right out the front in the street."
