"We have eaten in this restaurant several times and always had a lovely meal. The menu is based on traditional Medieval fare so more towards meat eaters than vegetarian, but then that can be said of most restaurants in Brittany! The owner is a lovely lady who really makes you feel welcome and has worked very hard on the decorative style of the restaurant. She has even painted the tables with Medieval scenes.The restaurant is in the beautiful Medieval town of Moncontour which has cobbled streets and the loveliest of buildings. Well worth a visit if you are passing through our part of Brittany."

"This small family run restaurant i well worth a visit. We went as a party of 4 and everyone rated it as place to return to on our next visit to Moncontour. I'm not a great fan of crepes but had a hamburger instead which was excellent. The owner speaks a little English and provides service with French smile. you get good service excellent food at a budget price what more could you ask for. We will certainly be returning to Au Coin du Feu on our next visit to Moncontour a much favoured town in this part of Brittany."

"1. Try and it'll be the last. Don't buy a big hunger here. Pay €20 for pizza, which is the size of a children's menu and with so little topping... open, very over the top! The pizzas are bland, fortunately there are spicy oil to give taste. From own experience... I don't recommend it."
