"We were one night in our trek. the hat is in a fantastic position as we sat, a beer admire the intention after a long day. we wanted to book and inform the staff we had requested a private double room. we. were informed about the box room and then down to place 12. we arrived in our private room and went into a small room with bunk beds and a small wash basin. we had paid £15 each for an upgrade and have to say we expected better. However, we made the best of it, our kit packed and a shower. a 4-course menu was served by a friendly waitress who was very tasty. would recommend for eating and drinks, but would probably stay asleep next time."

"We went by chance to the Gasthof Hochrain and fell in love. The ambience is completely cozy and has been modernized by the new tenants since autumn 2021 with few riffs without covering the old flair. The menu is not too big, the quality of the food is all the more! Composition, preparation and quality of the ingredients are sensational compared to the.Price. We enjoyed the hospitality and hospitality of the young hosts so that we came to dinner for a second time. We can only highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back at the next stay in Grainau."

"Great Bavarian atmosphere in this restaurant. The waiter was very friendly and spoke German and English. The schnitzel varieties were all pork no turkey or veal options. They had two beers on tap hefeweizen and a light beer plus a variety of...domestic brews in bottles. The restaurant seems to do a good job of catering to both locals and American tourists because there was about a 50 50 mix on a Wednesday during dinner hours. Prices were reasonable about average for Garmisch. The specials were a whole, local fish and turkey goulash with spaetzle. There were also a few vegetarian options on the menu."

"Travelling from Austria it definitely wasn’t worth crossing the border for anything more than the view. Caricature level abrupt sarcastic staff, working at an establishment totally reliant for custom on the view. Booking system for tables leaves much to be desired unoccupied lake side table...booked for 2.30pm still not free to sit at 2 hours later! Iced coffee ice cream with flavouring for the customer to stir. Stars only for the view"
