"The cakes are just stunning, home made and lovely. Lots of other goodies as well. Try the locally made fudge, its addictive, lots of flavours and apparently made less than 10 miles away. The Art Cafe is owned by the same people a two doors away and is great. The staff are all smiling and o nice."

"Found this on line , what a little gem. They do a lovely cooked breakfast to order. They also have a really nice selection of sweet and savoury pastries and pies . The Bakewell tart is superb and the sausage rolls scummy Make a point...of visiting you won't regret it. Another plus is the view out to sea ."

"Extremely rude and unfriendly staff. Was left standing at the counter while member of staff chatted with delivery driver and continued to fill up freezer with ice-cream. I had to ask whether she was going to serve me ! I suggest customer service training."

"Really nice caffe that sells hot and cold drinks and eating, right on the beach in front of east mersea. note that they only accept cash, but the dame led me to the next cash machine (which is about 10 minutes to foot), so no break there. we had an ice cream that everyone was beautiful and really reasonable. they also sell cakes, lunches and everything for the beach they forget in the rule! it was a really hot day, and the dame also kindly filled our children water bottles, which was very appreciated!"

"A favourite stop off over many a year on our Mersea walks but visit today, following a change of management and revamp, provided a very warm and sincere welcome.
